A quick viewing of the new Hi-Resolution Cloverfield trailer had something strike me as odd. I have yet to check with UnFiction to see what all they dug up, but hopefully some of these can be useful.First off, did they redo the entire scene where Rob enters his Farewell Party?
Sure enough they did.
The opening shot of both trailers shows Rob entering a surprise party. In the latest trailer his hair is sticking up a little and he's got a new, geeky friend.
Most telling are the touch ups done to the Statue of Liberty's head. Note the glossy look in the new trailer with the added claw marks. Also, a muted green look is added to the trailer instead of the original , reddish street light look
Rob introduces himself. The image is blurred and some digital code-looking jargon covers the screen.
Destruction of the city.
Jets fly from explosion in city.
Cell phones still work. Rob reaches Beth.
FDNY Paramedics crew helps victims.
Escape from New York. People flee across Brooklyn Bridge.
Military hospital with victims.
Flee the city. Someone shouts out to head away from the center of the city.
Inside store, surrender/arrest?
MP/soldier with blurred face. Rob to left?
Arrested or sick?
Rob helps Marlena through rubble.
Victims aftermath
Rob and Hud in store, hiding and saying "it's alive."
Windows crash
Hazmat camp, Marlena being taken.
More code. Hazmat scrub down?
Evacuating to helicopters
Armed soldiers with Night vision
Cloverfield Monster walks past buildings.
City in ruins
Fleeing medical area after something crashes near ceiling
Escape with soldier
Rob has some gunk on his shirt.
Entering Hazmat/Military tent
Donuts and tanks. Soldiers on the attack.
Running to safety in subway.
Hud goes down
Noises heard in subway
Fleeing dark hallway
Soldiers attack
Soldiers attack Cloverfield Monster.
Bridge collapses. Note Time of 9:56. Next night?

Handsome cab w/out cabbie. Destruction in background.
I can't wait for the analysis of the scene inside the tent, HAZMAT guys and the woman who looks like the woman is about to explode from the inside

ReplyDeleteAt the part were the 2 hazmat members (that people thought were "giant rats")are holding that woman, if you take this part frame by frame and look at her you can clearly see her stomach get progressively bigger each frame. I'm going to safely say that indeed there are smaller "monsters" cause having a disease thats going to just blow you up is dumb. Also this is kinda far out there but when rob is with the 2 girls and they are in that dark allay way, that noise in that back round sounds like wings to me.......I was just thinking, if you were a 200ft monster.....wouldn't you kind be easy to find, cause in a lot of the clips the monster is no were to be found just lot of destruction;leading me to think this monster might be able to fly. In the still of the monster it kinda looks like the monster might have wings on its lower/mid section(maybe its just me).

ReplyDeleteThe smaller monster theory is probably a good one, although this will make it very similar to that terrible Godzilla movie...
The smaller monsters probably have wings, and that would explain the buzzing you hear when those three people are in the alleyway.
