I think I figured it out:
ReplyDeleteThe monster is gonna be a mutated version of some common sea animal. Tagruato drilled into a deposite of the secret ingredient and then the local sealife started consuming it. Meanwhile, humans started drinking it in the form of Slusho. Finally, some sea animal got real big and pissed-off right around the same time the ingredient started to mutate humans. :)
The ingredient mutated a sea animal the same way radiation mutated a lizard and became godzilla. So much for an original idea comming from Hollyweird.
