Well, kinda. The clip is only a second or two but other than the end scene at Central Park it's one of the best videos of the Cloverfield Monster.

ReplyDeleteIn the last scenes in Central Park, it occurred to me that the monster looked like a giant bat. Just look at how it moves around on its front "legs"? When it goes to attack Hut (sp?) and you see its face up close, it looks remarkably like a bat. And those things falling off of it? Lice. Big, ugly lice. Major crab infestation.

And, you're right- the monster looks like a bat, both in the face a little and the way it walks. I thought the odd front leg design was familiar and now that you mention it the Cloverfield monster does resemble a bat in that aspect.
Those little parasites are still up for grabs. Whether they are little babies (carried on the back like a mother spider) or just lice/crab infestations have not been formally announced. The new toy Eddy referred to mentions them as parasites.
