'Cloverfield' Spoof on 'South Park'

11/8/08 | Labels: , , | 0 comments |

On October 22 episode of "South Park" called "Pandemic", the story tells about a kind of epidemic which attacks the world and the people in it. The episode is a kind of spoof of "Cloverfield", a 2008 monster horror film, using the involvement of Stan's dad Randy and the giant pig.

The situation in "Pandemic" is getting out of control and people are struggling to fight it or to save themselves. While at the same time, Stan, Kyle, Kenny, and Cartman are trying to take some advantages from the chaos.

The sequel episode of "Pandemic", called "I'm So Startled", will continue the misfortunate situation which is used by the boys to make some money that seems easy and profitable to get. They have asked Craig to join their plan because the guy has something that is needed to make their dream comes true.

It's Been A Fun Ride

Bye!

Hello gang. It looks like the Cloverfield ride is officially over. At least that what it looks like...

The movie is out, the DVD is out, and little has popped up since then so I think it's safe that unless a sequel pops up that we can officially call it. I enjoyed the time here on Cloverfield and it was a fun ride. You can follow me and my friends at the new Dave and Thomas site for more movie info along with rather stupid and mundane posts.

The posts here at Blogger will stay up as long as Blogger allows so feel free to cruise through the archives and catch up on the Cloverfield mystery all over again.

Laugh 'Till It Hurts At The Why So Serious Website

Charlie here. I was directed via a post on slashfilm.com to http://www.whysoserious.com/laughtilithurts/static.htm (can't find the post at the moment. you can probably find it later). It's a short video from what looks like a security camera.

Also from slashfilm.com, it appears that The Dark Knight has sold eight times the ammount of presale tickets from three weeks prior to the film than Spider-Man 3. Spider-Man 3 is the #10 film on movietickets.com's list of top preforming films of all time.

That's all for now. Only 3 weeks until The Dark Knight's release. I wish I could make it to the midnight showing, but it's already sold out.

New Two Face Clip At The "Why So Serious" Site

6/17/08 | | 0 comments |

Charlie here. News for The Dark Knight has been slow recently. I missed posting the info on the Harvey Dent Election because I left town right after I got the email from the Harvey Dent campaign website. (For those of you who missed it, Harvey Dent won the election for District Attorney.) Well, it seems that there is a new video clip up at http://www.whysoserious.com/myhero/, which gives us a new clip of Two Face. While you don't see much of Two Face (just a few seconds of the back of his head), it still gives us something to tide us over until the July release.
Enjoy!

Cloverfield, Rambo Top Amazon Blu-ray Bestsellers

6/1/08 | Labels: , , | 0 comments |

After months of speculation the Cloverfield Blu-ray is reading to appear to the public. According to the Amazon list it looks like Cloverfield's Blu-ray version is getting a lot of attention.

For almost an entire week, Lionsgate's Rambo and Paramount's Cloverfield on Blu-ray Disc have been switching between the #1 and #2 spots on Amazon.com's Blu-ray bestsellers list.

Both title are highly desired for exemplary high definition presentations, but they've also been heavily discounted by Amazon.

Cloverfield is selling for $19.95, 50% off its $39.99 list price. For comparison, Paramount's There Will Be Blood on Blu-ray is releasing the same day with the same list price, but is being sold for $27.95.

J.J. Abrams Takes Us to the Fringe

J.J. Abrams Fringe joshua jackson

IGN took time to site down and have a great interview with J.J. Abrams about the upcoming Fox TV show "Fringe." We get from Abrams what to expect from the mysterious new show and the influences that help to bring it to the screen.

We recently caught up with the busy J.J. Abrams to talk about his new television series Fringe, which he co-created with his frequent collaborators Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci (Alias, Mission Impossible III and the upcoming Star Trek).

Fringe centers on three characters – FBI agent Olivia Dunham (newcomer Anna Torv), scientist Dr. Walter Bishop (Lord of the Rings' John Noble) and Bishop's son Peter (Dawson's Creek's Joshua Jackson), as they investigate some very strange occurrences.

Abrams, who of course co-created Lost, is an executive producer on Fringe, and during our conversation we talked about what his ongoing involvement will be with the new series, the inevitable comparisons Fringe already is getting to The X-Files, and how he came to cast Torv – the latest in Abrams' successful run of casting then-unknowns as the female leads on his series, which has previously included Keri Russell (Felicity), Jennifer Garner (Alias) and Evangeline Lilly (Lost)

Question: How did Fringe come about? What was the inspiration for it?

J.J. Abrams: It was really just Alex Kurtzman, Bob Orci and myself just hanging out and talking about the kind of show we'd love to see on the air. For better or worse, like most of the things I do, it just comes from stuff that I'd love to watch. It's sort of a boring answer, but that's kind of what the truth is!

Question: What will we see on the show on a weekly basis? What's the core of the show?

Abrams: At the core of the show are three very distinct characters – this young woman, who's an FBI agent; this really eccentric, nutty and until recently institutionalized scientist; and his somewhat troubled and estranged son. [It's] this trio going up against this very shadowy network of [what are] essentially researchers, who are playing with science and pushing it in ways that are increasingly terrifying. And these three are basically the good guys who try to police them.
